Camry Hybrid Battery Fan Cleaning. The 2004-09 Prius did not come with a filter for the air used to cool the hybrid battery. The air inlet is located inside of the cabin on the previous Prius too.

This preventive maintenance helps extend the life of your hybrid battery. Remove the five screws holding down the outer shell of the fan. It is on the rear shelf just behind the rear seat. Unplug the fan connector then the three bolts holding down the fan.
